Greetings from my dirt infested office (thank you, wind)

Greetings from my dirt infested office (thank you, wind)... Spring contest are wrapping up this week and summertime is upon us! I can only hope May weather is better to us than April weather was. Flowers are waiting to be planted after the last freeze.
Interesting Fact #1.. On average, the last freeze for Dalhart is April 30th, (we will see what happens). Summertime is full of camps to participate in.
Interesting Fact #2.. Over 8 million kids attend summer camp in the U.S.A every year according to American Camping Association. Make sure you are one of those kids and check out all the camps that 4-H has to offer in our newsletters!
I hope May treats you well!!

Greetings from Dalhart

Greetings from Dalhart.... 2014 stock show season is now behind me, thank goodness! Dallam and Hartley Counties had an EXCELLENT major stock show season and I could not be more proud of the kids and families for all their hard work!! Now we get into all our spring contests and begin getting ready for summer camps, projects and State 4-H Roundup! There are 5 contests in the month of April and 4-Her's have been making practices and working hard to prepare themselves for what's to come during their contest. Without the help of our wonderful volunteers we would not be able to have so many teams competing at the county and district level. We are looking forward to the spring and summer and are excited about what all the 4-Her's will accomplish and the fun memories they will make!
