Greetings from warm and cozy office!
Man it’s good to be home for a short while
before I hit the road one last time for this year’s major stock show
season. So far, Ft. Worth, San Antonio
and San Angelo have taken place and Dallam & Hartley Counties have had as
AWESOME show season!
With all my traveling lately it got me to thinking, “How
many miles, on average, does a person drive per year?”
- Interesting fact #1--According to the US Department of Transportation a female of the age group 20-34 drives 12,004 miles per year. I have no doubt that I come very close to that each year!
While I’m home, the clothing and textiles project is kicking off with the ‘Bi-County Textiles & Arts Extravaganza’. This is such a fun evening of projects to help everyone get in the mood for the fashion and art spring season!
- Interesting fact #2-- In the 1800’s fashion “shows” were called fashion “parades”. American retailers adopted the concept in the early 1900’s and in 1903 the first fashion show was held in New York City.
As show season wraps up and spring contests begin I want to wish
all the kids GOOD LUCK and HAPPY SPRING!!
